Overview

Water is a major resource that can't be replaced. We all enjoy it for recreation and therefore we need to preserve it for future generations. Raising awareness of the impact that boating and other recreational activities have on the environment will help keep this non-renewable resource clean. Our plan is to create a marketing plan that will educate users of our waterways across Canada about "Environmental Best Management Practices". Using our extensive network within the marine industry, social media, and direct promotions at boat shows and events, our mission is to have boaters make an online pledge to be a "Clean Boater".
Based on 2009 Clean Marine achievements in Ontario, a Canada-wide Clean Marine Program could result in more than:

-1,320,000 litres of oil recycled
-1,020,000 litres of antifreeze recycled
-3,200,000 lbs of shrink-wrap recycled
-3,600,000 lbs of landfill waste recycled
