Overview
Digitla Respect (a bilingual program) has consisted of:
- Research about cyberbullying among 147 students in the West Island of Montreal.
- A Digital Respect film contest (entries received from 10-35 year olds from the West Island)
- Digital Respect Film Festival held at the YMCA West Island on June 18, 2010
- Digital Respect prevention program to be introduced to schools, school administration, youth organizations and companies in the Fall of 2010
- Digital Respect Ambassadors program (16 ambassadors aged 10 to 50 to date) to promote in their work and school milieus and volunteer with the program.
- 10 employees have contractually worked with Digital Respect.
- Funding is needed for:
- Digital Respect Mentorship will train youth to be peer mentors to youth who have been the victims of cyberbullying. The program will teach them to mentor both on and offline (in the school environment).
- It will benefit schools, community organizations, libraries, and youth groups.
- Media ed class
