Our goal at Hot Docs is to feed our audiences with delicious documentaries. Hot Docs isn’t just another 11-day film festival…in fact, word on the street is that every Hot Docs moment is an addictive, necessary, singular and a rewarding experience. Docs galvanize discussion and opinion on the key issues of our times.

With your support, we’d like to bring more youth more HOT DOCS through our Docs for Schools program.

Docs for Schools provides:

• FREE screenings and engages students with current issues
• A refreshing perspective outside of the mainstream media and school textbook
• Access to a storytelling art form which is versatile, politically and socially responsive, poetic, funny and frequently moving.

A Pepsi Refresh grant would help us to:  

• Bring more films and filmmakers to more students
• Update our education kits for teachers
• Offset transportation costs to bring more youth to the Festival
