Overview

Our country just got a D grade in innovation from the Conference Board of Canada.
We think that's a problem. Young social entrepreneurs are the solution.

In March 2011, we're going to launch Canada's first accelerator for young people with good ideas for social change

In a nutshell:

  1. Find Canada's most promising youth-driven start-ups & bring them to one place
  2. Sharpen their plans with Canada's brightest minds in business & innovation
  3. Have them demonstrate to dozens of investors and get seed capital!

What kind of ideas are we looking for?

  • Renewable energies, cleantech, microfinance, housing solutions, and the list goes on. We're looking for products or services that can benefit thousands and be game-changing for their target cause.

How do we know it'll work?

  •  We're modelling it after successful incubators abroad like Techstars, SeedCamp & Y-Combinator; 70% of their start-ups have gotten investments.

How will the $100K be used?

$ 100,000 space, advisor travel fees, marketing, staffing, video
