The playground will allow children, with and w/o disabilities, to play in an accessible and nurturing environment. When children play and learn together, they develop a lifelong respect for, and appreciation of, individuals of all abilities forming the foundation for strong healthy community.

 This project will be evaluated by both organizations by measuring success from a qualitative perspective and benefits based approach to infrastructure development. Lakeland College will ensure the finished playground meets or exceeds the established standards for public playground safety.

 In addition to measuring the level of satisfaction from student family use and the College’s new child development centre the level of patronage by children in the immediate area will be observed.
