Overview

Project Summary:

To build an inclusive playground structure that all of our students can enjoy. There are three Developmentally Challenged classes at our school. Many of these students have mobility issues which make a standard playground structure impossible for them to enjoy. Playground equipment provides students with physical activity and sheer joy during recess breaks and after school. The community of Eastdale would also benefit from the equipment on the weekends and evenings. The Eastdale community has been fundraising for almost 10 years but only a fraction of the estimated cost has been raised ($3000).

Deliverables:

  • inclusive playground structure built to the needs of our students (quoted cost of $100,000)
  • local and national press mentions (Woodstock Sentinel Review, local radio stations, London Free Press, Globe and Mail and CBC Television)
  • exercise and fun for children of all abilities

How will the $100K be used?

Budget Notes: A dedication sign, fundraised by the Eastdale Community, to state that Pepsi paid for the playground equipment
