- To provide an intensive one-day leadership summit for island youth.
Overview
I would like to organize an island-wide youth summit, similar to events held in the rest of the country. PEI is very far removed from many opportunities for youth empowerment that are prevalent in other parts of the country (i.e. Toronto, B.C., etc.)
I want to bring in powerful motivational speakers, utilize island musicians, leadership facilitators, and help island youth recognize their potential to be agents of positive social change. Youth engagement is the goal of the summit.
The goals of the event are to inspire island youth, to broaden their perspectives, to help them social network with each other, to help them identify their passions and to create action plans regarding their passions.
How will the $10K be used? |

| Budget Notes: That will depend on how much we could get donated. In my experience working on the island, people have a tendency to be quite generous when supporting good causes. | |
