Overview

For 20 years we have been very grassroots and very, very shoestring.

I would like to use this grant to make a few upgrades to some of our primary foster places, as well as increase our outreach by enabling us to cover the costs of vetting more animals.

Both of these actions will let us help more animals this year - and make a big difference well into the next few years.

Because of the economy, we are seeing more and more animals being surrendered to shelters, abandoned on the street, or left to suffer without needed veterinary care.

We have taken in many animals whose primary person has passed away or is no longer able to care for them.

Project Jessie has been doing some amazing work for the past 20 years, but this grant would help us to "up our game" - improve the services we can offer and help many more animals in need.

Thank you!

Community Benefit

Project Jessie helps individuals and shelters who are unable to care for their animals. Over half of homes in Ontario have companion animals - they are an important part of our lives and our families. Project Jessie is often the last hope - for the animals in need, for the people in crisis and for shelters bulging at the seams.

How will the $10K be used?

$ 2,000 upgrade facilities at our primary cat foster locations
$ 3,000 build safe play-yards/outdoor enclosures for foster dogs
$ 5,000 for emergency/extraordinary veterinary care
