Overview
The St. Michael's Hospital emergency department (ED) is open 24 hours per day, seven days per week. They see 55,000 patients annually and get over 1,000 ambulance visits every month. The emergency dept. is in desperate need of durable, high quality chairs that are comfortable and easy to clean.
I would donate the money to the hospital with specific instructions that it go towards upgrading the chairs in their emergency dept. Further, I can research options and make recommendations based on their floor plan.

| Budget Notes: The most urgent need in the emergency dept. is chairs, however the whole emergency dept. needs a redesign desperately. This would be a difficult undertaking however as the emergency dept. is open 24 hours/day year round. | |
