Overview
From 10PM—4AM, the Mobile Mission rescue vehicle goes out into the night to seek out homeless men and women living in all regions of Metro Vancouver. These “hidden homeless” often sleep in parks, on beaches, under bridges, or in overgrown/wooded areas. Outreach Workers in the Mobile Mission seek out these places with the express purpose of making contact with men and women in need, building trusting relationships, meeting their immediate needs for food, clothing, blankets or shelter, and working with them to offer help in taking steps out of homelessness and into safety. With strong connections across Metro Vancouver, as well as an in-house and highly effective recovery program, Outreach Workers are able to walk with the hardest to house individuals and give them the help they need to start down a new path to a bright future.
