The first community hall was built in 1932, was destroyed by fire ten years later. The current hall was built in the mid 1940's to facilitate weekly dances and town events. In 1978 the building was upgraded to have electric and gas heating.  The WVCA sponors 8 major events each year one of which is our major fundraiser of the year. In addition the association members put on a monthly jam session, a bi-weekly movie night and weekly morning coffee. 

To work with local artisans and tradespersons to reduce building costs.To inspire the community to participate and foster community spiirtTo win the pepsi refresh everything grant.To provide a larger space for the events currently being held so members and their guests don't have to be turned away.Provide a safe environment for all of the activities currently at the hall.  Our current hall has issues and the maintence to keep the current structure safe far outwieghs a new modernized building.
