Purpose of the application: To provide a safe, high quality, outdoor learning environment for infants.
Families: have concerns around the children’s inability to walk efficiently and get their clothes and hands muddy.
Educators: are looking to minimize the children's interruptions to their play by continuously washing hands/faces; experience a fixed outdoor learning environment instead of having to set up and take down the experiences each morning and evening. They eagerly seek efficient ways to rid the space of natural hazards (bird droppings, pine cones, litter, cigarette butts from the public). Sweeping the space when a natural hazard is observed is a stress free option! They hope to develop ways of improving children's incidents as they learn to crawl, walk, and fall or indulge in tasting the dirt. This improved environment will also allow the children to experience the outdoors all year round!
