In 2008-2009 Argus served 340 homeless youth. 73% disclosed physical, sexual, emotional abuse as part of their earlier life experience. Nearly 20% left their family for the first time between the ages of 12-15, and an additional 10% were under the age of 12. 77% had a mental health and medical concerns. For the majority a return to home is not an option due to abuse, poverty, or chronic family breakdown.
