The 24h of Tremblant is a ski marathon held annually to raise funds for sick children. The Centre de cancérologie Charles-Bruneau is the primary beneficiary of the event. I was motivated to get involved in the 24h mainly because of my daughter. Since she was born, we have had to take her to Sainte-Justine Hospital several times a year. She has a very rare genetic disorder. During one of our visits at Sainte-Justine Hospital, we saw a child on a stretcher. The child was undergoing chemo and looked very tired. My daughter gave her a big smile and waved. The child responded with a magnificent smile, despite her pain. That is the day I realized I wanted to have a positive impact on these kids.
