Overview

The project of implementation of a sports platform in the Sainte-Brigide Community Center. The community wishes preserve its heritage while provinding facilities to the different organizations that need installations to provide their services. The success of this project will allow Chemins du Soleil to realize its mission which is to work with youth on a daily basis and provide them with a unique installation to practice roller-hockey, an activity that they love.                                                                                                                                                                                   Project deliverables -- Indoor roller rink

- A third of the project funded by investments and donations

Community Benefit

This new sports platform is located in a historic area and it preserves the sites that are associated to the historic character of the area, for instance a century-old church. The installation will benefit the whole community by providing a meeting place and promoting human relations through the practice of roller hockey, an activity that is liked by many. In addition, this will be only installation of its kind in Montreal and it meets the growing demand for roller-hockey. Young people in our community will have a new place to meet and to bond while practicing a sport they love: roller-hockey. The new premises will also be open to other organizations amon whom many are interested in provinding people with special needs with installations that will allow them to practice different activities.
