The Stand Up Theatre Company builds stand up young people.  Our mission is to establish a self-sustaining, inclusive art society in the downtown core dedicated to developing the theatrical talents of young people 8-18.  We hold them to high expectations in the hopes that they will learn to hold themselves to high expectations.  By performing in original musicals, students learn to count on themselves and the other members of their cast.  They learn to sing 3, 4 and 5 part harmonies.  We want to bring this experience to inner city youth with no cost to them.

We need this grant to become self-sufficent in terms of equipment, especially sound equipment.

We are currently rehearsing in my backyard.  We also need this grant to rent rehearsal space in the neighbourhood.

Finally, we will use this grant to purchase new computer equpment
